Sanders Chocolate Stout Chili



3  tablespoons butter Sanders Chocolate Stout
2  tablespoons vegetable or canola oil
2  yellow onions, diced (about 1½ cups)
1  head garlic, minced (about ¼ cup)
1½  pounds ground chuck
1  pound Italian sausage
1½  teaspoons onion powder
2  tablespoons chili powder
2  teaspoons paprika
2  teaspoons cumin
1½  teaspoons cayenne pepper
1½  teaspoons salt
1½  teaspoons black pepper
1  15oz can Tomato sauce
1  6 oz can Tomato paste
2  cups Chicken stock
1  bottle Sanders Chocolate Stout
1  can red kidney beans

In large stock pot over high heat, add butter and onions –cooked until caramelized, 5 to 10 minutes. Add Garlic and sauté a minute longer.

Add ground beef and sausage stir gently until meat is browned 10 minutes or so. Add onion powder, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, Black pepper stir and cook for a minute.

Add the Tomato sauce and the Tomato paste and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in Chicken Stock and Beer and stir. Add 1 can red kidney beans, lower heat and simmer for 2 hours.

Serve topped with shredded cheddar cheese.
