MGM Grand Detroit now offering Sanders chocolates for nightly turndown service

Detroit, Mich. – August 4, 2014 – Crain's Detroit Business recently reported that MGM Grand Detroit will now offer Sanders chocolates for its nightly tourndown service.

The article states that MGM Grand Detroit is buying hundreds of thousands of Sanders chocolates in four varieties. Guest will be able to choose from milk or dark chocolate sea salt caramels, cookies and cream crunchers, or dark chocolate peppermint patties.

Chocolates are placed on a tray adjacent to the bed pillows, along with a spa menu, bottle of water, television remote and a "sleep well" card, in the casino's 400 hotel rooms.

MGM said the turndown service will require about 300,000 pieces of Sanders chocolate per year.

The casino is reportedly replacing an out-of-state chocolate supplier, which it did not identify.

"Sanders is such a familiar brand to people across Michigan, we are excited to share the treats with all our guests," said Steve Zanella, MGM president.
