Peanut Recall Notice – February 6, 2009
One of our suppliers, Madeline Chocolate Novelties of Rockaway Beach, New York, has issued a recall of peanut containing products. Independent testing of their products to date has had no positive results for salmonella. Additionally, no illnesses have been reported to date on their products. The following products were affected:
- Bulk chocolate covered bridge mix
- Bulk chocolate covered peanuts
- Bagged Morley Candy Makers Chocolate Peanuts in 10oz bag #16742
- Bagged Morley Candy Makers Chocolate Bridge Mix in 10 oz bag #16722
We have removed and destroyed these products from our retail and warehouse shelves.

Shipping
We take great care to ensure the gifts and goodies you order from Sanders arrive in perfect condition. Your order will be carefully packed and sent by a shipping specialist. Orders generally ship within 1-2 business days of being placed. Ground transit times can be up to 5 business days, orders shipping within Michigan generally are in transit 1-2 business days. Please allow an additional 2 business for order processing during the holidays, we recommend that holiday orders are placed early to guarantee a specific ship date.
Shipping rates are calculated based on the total dollar amount of your order. Shipping rates can be viewed after your order is placed in the shopping cart, before you commit to purchasing the order.
When shipping chocolates to warm weather climates, we recommend you choose 2 day air or next air services to guarantee that your order arrive in perfect condition.
Tours
Guided tours and self guided tours are available at our candy kitchen in Clinton Twp, MI. Guided tours do require a reservation and can only be done Monday-Friday at certain times. Please call 1-800-651-7263 and ask to be transferred to our tour director for reservation information. Self guided tours do not require a reservation and can be done Monday-Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All tours are free of charge!
