Cake November 16, 2014
Reviewer: Kathy from Spring Tx
I order a Sanders cake for my birthday every year and it always arrives perfectly.  I only wish they still made the full size birthday cake I got every year when I was young!

Retracted review from Laura November 3, 2014
Reviewer: Laura from Highland Michigan
Oops.  My cake was partially frozen.  Being frozen made the cake dry and the icing heavy and too sweet. The next morning I found the cake moist and the frosting quite light.  Sorry to Sanders. This cake is actually very good.

Taste nothing like the original November 2, 2014

The icing on this cake does not taste like buttercream. It is not light or flavorful. The cake itself is ok at best.  It used to be yummy.

Colonial cake July 6, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
Sanders used to make a wonderful Colonial Cake. It was a yellow cake with buttercream frosting. The sides were sprinkled with tiny bits of hazelnuts. My husband just bought a Sanders Colonial cake for my birthday. It looks the same but is not nearly as good. The "nuts" aren't nuts and I've no idea what they are. The frosting is way too sweet and not the light buttercream frosting of ol. I'm disappointed but realize things change.

Why the nuts? May 31, 2014
Reviewer: SS from Redford, Mi
Why eliminate an entire group of customers by sprinkling nuts on the top of this cake? Is it for looks? (I doubt the dusting adds to the flavor.) As someone who is allergic to tree nuts, I cannot enjoy this dessert.
